How do you repair the Bell Tower?

What do you need before the quest appears?

Two things, and the quest will not show up until both are true.

You need to have completed the quest Meet the New Vendors, and you need to be at Town Rank Diamond, Level 90. Once you are, Zorel sends a letter and the repair becomes available.

This is the last of the twelve town repair quests. Everything else in the chain, from the bridge to the Saturday Market expansion, comes first.

What materials does it take?

Four things, and one of them is the reason this quest sits at the end.

The stone and wood are ordinary late-game materials. The two Dragon-Forged components are not.

Why does it need a Dragon-Forged Core?

Because the Core is made at the Dragon Forge, which sits on Floor 90 of the mines and only unlocks after the story quest The Dragonsworn Tablet.

That quest does not start until you reach Floor 100, and it also asks for 8 hearts with both Juniper and Eiland before you can read the tablet.

So the last town repair quest quietly requires you to have finished the mines. It is the same gate that stands in front of the Engagement Ring, which is why players who married first usually already have the Forge unlocked.

What do you get for finishing it?

50 Renown, and the Bell Tower opens up so you can go inside.

Completing it also unlocks the Steam achievement Ringing Ovation, which 1.3% of players have. That is the rarest achievement tied to town progress, slightly rarer than reaching Town Rank 100 itself.

What can you do inside the Bell Tower?

This is the honest gap in the public record, so here is where it stands.
