Can you romance Stillwell?

How certain is this?

Three separate checks all point the same way.

His wiki infobox lists marital status as Unavailable. The wiki's Characters page files him under Saturday Market Vendors, not under Bachelors. And the Marriage page's list of 12 candidates does not include him.

The official 1.0 patch notes mention Stillwell exactly twice, both times about the market and his mission board. Nothing in the update added new romance options; the romance work in 1.0 went into raising the heart cap and adding proposals for the existing cast.

Has the studio ruled it out?

No, and that distinction matters.

There is a player request thread on the Steam forums asking for him to be made romanceable. It has no developer reply. The 1.0 patch notes do not address the question either.

So the honest answer is that he cannot be romanced today, and nobody at NPC Studio has said whether that is permanent.

Why do some pages suggest otherwise?

Because the community wiki still carries a pre-1.0 subpage for him.

His heart events subpage lists 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 heart entries, all marked To be released. That page was last edited on 3 June 2025, more than a year before 1.0 shipped. It reflects a plan, not the current game.

A second stale page says he gives no quests at all, citing version v0.15.1. That directly contradicts the 1.0 patch notes, which say he does. Where the two disagree, the patch notes are newer.

Where do you find him?

At the Saturday Market, held every Saturday in the town square and in front of the Manor House.

His mission board stands next to his stall. His birthday is Winter 27, and his listed occupation is fortune telling vendor.

What does he actually do?

He does not sell anything. Instead he posts monster slaying missions each week from his board.

Completing one of his challenges rewards a furniture recipe from the Monster set. Unlocking him is what turns that board on in the first place.

How do you unlock him?

By finishing the story quest Expanding the Saturday Market, which also brings Zorel in at the same time.

That quest needs the earlier Upgrade the Saturday Market done first, plus Town Rank Diamond Level 90. The materials are Voidite ×50, Refined Stone ×20, Mistril Ingot ×5, Monster Core ×10 and Monster Block ×5. Finishing it awards 50 Renown.

What should you do instead?

If you were hoping for him specifically, the 12 who can be romanced are Adeline, Balor, Caldarus, Celine, Eiland, Hayden, Juniper, March, Reina, Ryis, Seridia and Valen.

Each of them hands over a unique item during their proposal scene, and you can see all twelve in one save before committing to anyone.
